November 2025 end – I fired up my trusted Yamaha FZ-S FI Hybrid V4, tank full, GoPro charged, and left Ahmedabad for one of the most satisfying weekend loops you can do in Gujarat right now.

  • Bike: Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid
  • Odometer at start: 16,2xx km
  • Total distance covered: 498 km (round trip)
  • Real fuel average this trip: 59.4 kmpl (AC on half the time, 80–100 kmph cruising)
  • Total fuel cost: only ₹960 (at ₹102/litre)

Day-wise Breakdown (Tested on FZ-S Hybrid)

Day 1: Ahmedabad → Kevadia (Statue of Unity) – 200 km | 4 hrs 15 mins riding time

  • 5:45 AM – Started from SG Highway (odometer 16234 km)
  • Route taken: SG Highway → Vasad → Dabhoi → Rajpipla bypass → Kevadia
  • Breakfast: Honest Restaurant, Vasad (8:15 AM) – pav bhaji + cold coffee
  • Road condition: 95 % silky 4-lane till Dabhoi, then smooth 2-lane state highway
  • FZ-S Hybrid mileage till SOU: 55 kmpl

Reached Statue of Unity gate at 10:10 AM.
2025 Ticket: Observation deck ₹450 (booked online night before – instant QR)

Highlights inside campus

  • Laser show at 7:30 PM is still free with deck ticket
  • Butterfly Garden & Dino Trail (new in 2025)
  • Ekta Mall food court – tried Gujarati thali for ₹220

Stay: Tent City-1 (Swadhar Cottage – ₹7800 with all meals – splurged because why not once!)
Night photo tip: Shoot Sardar Patel statue with Milky Way if you have tripod – light pollution is minimal after 10 PM.

Day 2: Kevadia → Polo Forest via Tribal Belt – 140 km | 3 hrs 40 mins

  • 7:00 AM – Checkout & breakfast (live jalebi counter)
  • Route: Kevadia → Rajpipla → Dediyapada → Netrang → Harsol → Polo Forest
  • This stretch is pure bliss on FZ-S – empty roads, tribal villages, sudden ghats, and zero potholes
  • Stopped at Zarwani waterfall turn (dry in November, skipped)
  • Reached Polo Forest entry at 10:45 AM

FZ-S Hybrid performed like a champ on light off-road inside Polo – ground clearance never scraped even with pillion bag.

Polo Forest activities done

  • Hiked to ancient Shiv temple & stepwell
  • River Harnav trail (bike parked, 20-min walk)
  • Spotted 6 peacocks within 100 metres
  • Lunch at Polo Vanshoda Resort – unlimited thali ₹180

Evening camping

Booked Polo Camps & Resort riverside Swiss tent (₹3200 incl. dinner, breakfast, bonfire)
Temperature dropped to 14°C – perfect bonfire weather

Day 3: Polo Forest → Ahmedabad – 158 km | 3 hrs exact

  • 6:00 AM – Morning jungle walk (saw fresh leopard pugmarks – guide confirmed)
  • 8:00 AM – Breakfast (poha + jalebi again)
  • 8:45 AM – Started back via Himmatnagar → Prantij → Chiloda
  • Quick chai stop at Chamunda Tea Stall, Chiloda
  • Reached home at 11:45 AM (odometer 16732 km)
