A Trip to beautiful Havelock (Swaraj dweep) Island, Andaman

Havelock which is also known as Swaraj Dweep Island is one of the most popular islands in the Andaman and Nicobar group of islands. It is known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and diverse marine life. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Havelock Island, and it was an unforgettable experience.

To begin my journey, I took a ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island. The ferry ride was scenic, and I could see several islands on the way. The moment I reached Havelock Island, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the island.

Radhanagar Beach – Havelock (Swaraj dweep) Island

The first place I visited was the Radhanagar Beach, which is considered one of the best beaches in Asia. The beach has pristine white sand, turquoise waters, and lush green forests, making it a perfect paradise for nature lovers. I spent the entire day at the beach, relaxing and enjoying the serene beauty of the island.

Elephant Beach – Havelock (Swaraj dweep) Island

On the second day, I went snorkeling at Elephant Beach, which is known for its coral reefs and diverse marine life. The experience was thrilling, and I saw several species of fish, sea turtles, and corals. The beach also has several water sports activities, such as jet skiing and banana boat rides, which were fun and adventurous.

Kalapathar Beach – Havelock (Swaraj dweep) Island

On the third day, I visited the Kalapathar Beach, which is a small but beautiful beach located on the eastern side of the island. The beach has black rocks and is surrounded by lush green forests, making it a unique and picturesque location.

On the fourth day, I rented a scooter and explored the island on my own. The island has several small villages, and the people are friendly and welcoming. I visited several local markets and tried the local cuisine, which was delicious.

Overall, my trip to Havelock Island was a memorable one. The island has a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and tranquility. I would highly recommend anyone to visit Havelock Island and experience the charm of this beautiful island.
